This walking tour across the vineyards will lead you from Dijon to Beaune, capital of Burgundy wine, passing through the Côte de Nuits and the Côte de Beaune vineyards. Following from time to time the Grand Cru Route, you will discover marvellous landscapes and the prestigious Burgundy vineyards. Contrasts of the Côte d’Or will astonish you!
DAY 1 Arrival in Dijon
Arrival of the participants by their own means at the hotel in the afternoon. Meeting with a representative of the agency who will hand out the road book, maps and tourist information. Overnight stay at the hotel.
DAY 2 Marsannay – Gevrey-Chambertin 9km
Lovely day walking from Dijon, then through the vineyards to Gevrey-Chambertin. Overnights stay in Gevrey Chambertin.
DAY 3 Gevrey-Chambertin – Nuits-Saint-Georges or Vougeot 14km
After the breakfast walk through the most renowned vineyards of Cote de Nuits: Gevrey Chambertin, Chambolle Musigny, Vougeot, Vosne Romanée. Overnight stay in Nuits Saint Georges.
DAY 4 Nuits-Saint-Georges or Vougeot – Beaune 19km
Today’s walk takes you from the landscapes of “Côte de Nuit village” to the “Hautes Côtes de Nuits” vineyards, before descending to the “Côte de Beaune”. Through this road the burgundian heritage will offer you: marvellous panorama, wash houses, “cabottes” Overnight stay in Beaune.
DAY 5: Beaune
Free day is Beaune. Explore the narrow streets lined with beautiful houses, some of which date back to the Renaissance period. Lodging and breakfast in the same 3-star hotel.
DAY 6: Departure
This secure route allows you to travel around Burgundy, in complete freedom and tranquility, at its own pace and according to the seasons.
How to get in Dijon?
Getting to Dijon by train: Dijon Métropole is the destination of many daily TGV links and makes Paris 1h30, Lille 3h or Zurich 2h30 range!
Coming to Dijon by car: 3 hours from Paris (via the A6), less than 5 hours from Lille and Belgium (A26), less than 3 hours from Metz and Luxembourg (A31) and Switzerland (A40 / A39).
