Arrival in Epernay, the wine capital of the Champagne region. After the check-in at your accomodation, take time to wander around the city, to discover the “Avenue de Champagne”, its monumental houses, and enjoy one of the many restaurants in town. Overnight at the hotel.
The day starts with a small climb to Mardeuil. Then, you will cross the canal to Cumières and on to Hautvillers, which is one of the most beautiful villages in the region. Walk through the narrow streets leading to forests and vineyards. Finally, you will return to Epernay along the Corps Saint Canal and spend the night in your hotel.
Begin your day with a stroll down the prestigious Avenue de Champagne, and admire the headquarters of the main champagne producers. As you take in the sights, consider the astonishing fact that beneath your feet lie 200 million bottles of Champagne just waiting to be enjoyed. Then, head through the vineyards to Chouilly. Along the way you’ll discover the charming chapel of the Moët vineyard. On the way back, you will climb Mount Bernons (the town’s highest point at 208m) from where you can admire the Montagne de Reims and its vineyards. Further on, a spectacular panorama of the town of Epernay awaits you. Overnight at your hotel.
