    Arrival in Beaune

    Distance : ~45km

    Beaune – Chalon-sur-Saône:

Arrive in Beaune in the morning and meet our representative at our office near the town center to collect your road book. Take time to stroll through the medieval streets of Beaune, explore the ramparts and the collegiate church of Notre-Dame with its 15th-century tapestries, and enjoy a drink at one of the many cafés.

Then, you’ll head to the River Saône. This route has no major difficulties and stays on the plain of the “Voie du Tacot,” an old railway line converted into a cycle path that crosses the Saône plain and its centuries-old forests. After about twenty kilometers, you will reach the Saône River and the Voie Bleue cycle path, which will take you all the way to Chalon-sur-Saône. There, you can wander through the beautiful, narrow streets of the town center and visit the museum dedicated to Nicéphore Niépce, the inventor of photography.
