This journey is made for solo or group travellers, explorators looking for serenity during their holidays. It will be the perfect way to create a group, of which we will ensure the logisitic and fun. Burgundy hides many hidden treasure and we want you to see all of them during this bike trip, accompagnied by a guide. Through your stay out off the beaten tracks in Burgundy, you will discover breathtaking views and built heritage. Everyday, your guide will accompagny your group to the beginning of your journey; he will deliver picnics for lunch and tell you more about the region’s history. You will meet him on the evenings at your hotel where he will deliver your luggage and prepare the following day. You will only have to enjoy every scenery, wine tasting and visit, without thinking about anything else. Dates of departure for 2026: not open yet, please contact us for a private group.

Your itinerary

    Arrival in Dijon - bike to Chateauneuf

    Distance : ~43km

    Your tour leader will welcome you at our Dijon bike agency. He will give you your equipped bike, explain the route and answer any questions you may have. Your luggage will be loaded into our vehicle and transported to the next stage each day.

    You will leave Dijon via Lac Kir, and then take the cycle route along the Canal de Bourgogne. This canal takes you from village to village, lock to lock, through the Auxois hills. Picnic lunch with your guide and visit to the gardens of Château de Barbirey included.

    Arrive in the village of Châteauneuf en Auxois at the end of the day for dinner and overnight stay.

    From Chateauneuf-en-Auxois to Chagny

    Distance : ~55km

    After the morning briefing, you will start this stage with a beautiful descent to cross the Canal de Bourgogne, and join the beautiful Auxois countryside, amidst farms and little country houses. This is one of the most exotic itineraries we offer, all the way to the pretty village of Nolay, with its impressive covered market next to its beautiful church.
    From Nolay, you will follow the beautiful cycle path along an old railroad line.

    Picnic lunch provided by us, including a visit and tasting at a winery.

    Arrive in Chagny at the end of the day for dinner and overnight stay.

    From Chagny to Beaune

    Distance : ~29km

    Today, we will accompany you as you leave Chagny, entering the Côte de Beaune and its famous appellations, some of which produce the world’s finest white wines: Puligny-Montrachet, Chassagne-Montrachet, for example. Continuing along the spectacular “voie des vignes”, you’ll head towards Beaune, passing through Meursault and then Pommard.

    Picnic lunch provided by us, including a visit and tasting at a winery.

    Arrive in Beaune at the end of the day, dinner on your own in Beaune.

    From Beaune to Dijon

    Distance : ~53km

    On this last day, your group will leave Beaune along the vineyard path that will take you very quickly to Savigny-les-Beaune, then Pernand-Vergelesses, and Aloxe-Corton, the last appellations of the Côte de Beaune. You then enter Côte de Nuits, the land of great red wine appellations! You’ll pass through Nuits-st-Georges, then Vosne-Romanée, Vougeot and its famous Château du Clos de Vougeot, where a visit is planned with your picnic. Then on to Gevrey-Chambertin and Dijon, the city of a hundred bell towers.

THE VINEYARD

The vineyards of Burgundy are among the most famous in the world. Its exceptional wines and the quality of its soils make it a destination of choice.

The red grape varieties are mainly Pinot noir and Gamay, while the whites are mainly Chardonnay and Aligoté. More of a vin de garde, certain bottles of Romanée-Conti, Chambertin or Montrachet are the stuff of dreams for wine lovers the world over!
