Arrival in Bordeaux during the day and transfer by cab to your accomodation in Saint-Emilion.
This day is a loop around Saint-Emilion. In the heart of the vineyards, you will take the hiking trails and discover the typical landscapes of the region. Châteaux and wine estates punctuate the route, witnesses to the history and know-how of the men who shaped them. Classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, this unique wine-growing landscape offers a succession of valleys covered with vines, a real spectacle for the eyes.
At the end of the day, transfer by taxi to your next accommodation, Camiran (or surroundings depending on availability)
Walking day in the Entre-deux-Mers. The Entre-deux-Mers is located between the Garonne and the Dordogne. This route will take you through part of its exceptional vineyard. Benefiting from a privileged geographical location on the hillsides overlooking the Garonne valley.
At the end of the day, return to your accommodation of the day before by car.
In the morning, transfer by car to Caudrot where you stopped the day before, then start of the walk.
Your hike will take you through the green landscapes, lined with vineyards and the Gironde estuary. Castles and huts on stilts, typical of the region, will offer you unique viewpoints. Your journey will end in the medieval city of Saint-Macaire, classified as a historical monument since 1965.
Night in Saint-Macaire or Langon depending on availability.
Today, hike with varied landscapes and cultural discoveries. From the hills overlooking Saint-Macaire, you will distinguish the dark spots of tobacco drying sheds in a landscape of hills and steep valleys. Your path will take you to the Domaine de Malagar, residence of the writer François Mauriac, which you can visit, as well as to the tomb of the famous painter Toulouse Lautrec.
At the end of the day, transfer by taxi to your next accommodation, Sauternes, Illats or Barsac depending on availability.
Last day of hiking, in the heart of the Sauternes and Barsac vineyards. Throughout your journey, you will walk through varied landscapes, alternating vineyards, forests and the Ciron, a wild river once used for transporting wood. You will also appreciate the charm of the small local heritage (churches, mills, wash houses, etc.).
For this on way journey, your accommodation in Barsac or Illats will drop you off at the start of the walk or your accommodation in Sauternes will pick you up in the evening.
