    Arrival in Dijon

    Dijon, capital of the Dukes of Burgundy. We welcome you at our Dijon agency before 6 pm or at your hotel from 6:30 pm to hand over your bikes and travel documents. Enjoy the masterly atmosphere of this city, with its many churches, its palace of the Dukes and States of Burgundy. Museums are free of charge, as is the owl trail that winds its way through the city’s most beautiful monuments.

    Dijon - Beaune

    Distance : ~43km

    In Dijon, on Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays, enjoy the market, a real local treasure. You can enjoy cheese and charcuterie platters with a glass of wine in the buvette under the halles. Then leave Dijon via the Cité de la Gastronomie. You’ve arrived in the Côte de Nuits and its mythical villages (Marsannay, Vougeot, Nuits-Saint-Georges…). Cycle the whole way or take the train to shorten the journey. Overnight in Beaune.

    Beaune loop south

    Distance : ~37km

    From Beaune, head south to the vineyards of the famous Côte de Beaune. Pass through the charming villages of Pommard, Meursault, Pulligny-Montrachet, Santenay (long option via Saint Romain possible). Return to Beaune in the late afternoon.

THE VINEYARD

The Burgundy vineyards are among the most famous in the world. Its exceptional wines and the quality of its soils make it a destination of choice.

Red grape varieties are mainly Pinot noir and Gamay, while whites are mainly Chardonnay and Aligoté. More of a ‘vin de garde’, certain bottles of Romanée-Conti, Chambertin or Montrachet are the stuff of dreams for wine lovers the world over!
