    Arrival in Beaune

    A warm welcome awaits you in Beaune where you will be briefed on the details of your trip. If you opt to rent bikes with us, you will get your bike equiped, and we will explain your itinerary in detail and answer any questions you might have.
    Spend some time exploring the magnificent town of Beaune, known for its hidden treasures and underground cellars  storing prestigious wines. Relax on a sunny terrace and soak up the atmosphere of the town. What better way to begin your vacation in Burgundy?

    Beaune - Nuits

    Distance : ~25km

    Your bike trip from Beaune takes you along the Voie des Vignes (vine route), through unmissable stages such as Savigny-lès-Beaune, Pernand-Vergelesses and Aloxe-Corton: the last treasures of the Côte de Beaune. Then, you will enter into the prestigious region of the Côtes de Nuits, famous for its great red wines. Night in Nuits Saint Georges.

    Nuits - Dijon

    Distance : ~20km

    Today, ride through emblematic towns, such as Vosne-Romanée and Vougeot with its famous château of the Clos de Vougeot. Continue your journey through Gevrey-Chambertin before arriving in the majestic city of Dijon, dubbed the “city of a hundred steeples”.

    Dijon - Châteauneuf en Auxois / Sainte Sabine

    Distance : ~43km

    Leaving Dijon, you will pass close to the Lac Kir, before joining the cycle path along the Burgundy Canal. Experience the natural beauty of Burgundy as you enjoy this peaceful ride along the canal, guiding you from village to village, passing by locks and the hilly terrain of the Auxois region, before reaching your final destination of the charming  village of Châteauneuf-en-Auxois, by the end of the day. Night in Chateauneuf or Sainte Sabine according to the selected accomodation.

    Chateauneuf - Chassey-le-Camp/St Jean de Trézy

    Distance : ~55km

    Begin the day with a downhill ride and crossing the Burgundy Canal. Immerse yourself in the lovely countryside of the Auxois region, dotted with farms and charming country houses. This picturesque itinerary promises a real escape up to the village of Nolay, where you will discover an impressive covered market place right next to the church. From there, you will folow the cycle path built on a former railroad, arriving at the village of Chassey-le-Camp, nestled in a valley, by the end of the day. Night in Chassey le Camp or in Saint Jean de Trézy according to the selected accomodation.

    South Loop

    Distance : ~45km

    For this day, you will have the choice of staying peacefully at your hotel, or taking a looping route. Leaving your hotel, head south to approach the vineyards of the Côte Chalonnaise and cross Mercurey.

    Chassey-le-Camp - Beaune

    Distance : ~29km

    Leave Chassey-le-Camp and the landscape of the Burgundian countryside to venture to the renowned Côte de Beaune, famous for its appellations producing some of the best white wines in the world, such as Puligny-Montrachet and Chassagne-Montrachet. Following the Voie des Vignes, your route will lead you to Meursault, where the movie “La Grande Vadrouille” with Louis de Funès and Bourvil was shot. Continue your journey through Pommard before arriving in Beaune at the end of the day.

We have an abundance of recommendations of producers who are eager to share their inbred passion for wine through tastings and tours of their wineries!
Burgundy is a real El Dorado for people who have a curious and ecstatic palate. There are so many different and diverse wine producers that it is impossible to say that any one is better than another. You certainly won’t have enough time in your lifetime to explore them all!

No need to buy a Romanée-Conti wine to treat yourself! With more than 3500 wine-growing estates as well as 266  wine merchants and about 15 cooperative cellars, you are spoilt for choice!  To help you, we’ve isted a few must-try places that promise to tantalize your taste buds!

On three of the stages  of this trip, you will have the opportunity to increase your knowledge of Burgundy wines by visiting cellars and participating in wine tastings organized on local vineyard estates.

We can organize booking optional visits in Côtes de Nuits and Côtes de Beaune for you.
