Arrival in Dijon in the early afternoon, check in to your hotel and meet your guide for the week. After a bike fitting session and welcome meeting, enjoy an easy introductory ride through the historic centre. Cycling through old streets and lively squares, as well as green spaces such as Lake Kir, this first ride is the perfect opportunity to get to know your fellow travellers, find your rhythm and ease into the tour. Dinner and overnight stay are included.
Leaving Dijon in the morning, you will cycle through the famous vineyards of the Côte de Nuits and the Hautes Côtes. Passing through villages such as Gevrey, Vougeot and Nuits-Saint-Georges, you ride alongside the guide at a pace adapted to your group. You will follow a route comprising quiet roads, vineyard tracks and easy sections. The day includes lunch with a glass of wine and a guided tour of the Château du Clos de Vougeot, followed by a wine tasting. You then reach Beaune in time for dinner and an overnight stay.
In the morning, enjoy a visit to the beautiful Hospices de Beaune, a local historical landmark. Then, cycle through the wine villages of the Côte de Beaune, including Pommard, Meursault and Puligny-Montrachet, before following the greenway alongside the Canal du Centre. The day includes lunch en route, followed by an arrival in Chalon-sur-Saône in the afternoon, allowing time to enjoy this lively riverside town. Check in to your hotel, dinner and night in Chalon.
Depending on your group’s preference and your guide’s advice, a morning bus transfer takes you to Pagny-la-Ville or Chaumergy. From Pagny, the route follows the canal on a lovely and fresh path. From Chaumergy, the ride takes you to countryside and rural landscapes. Arrival in Dole in the afternoon. The day includes lunch, a guided visit of Dole, followed by dinner and an overnight stay in Dole.
Starting in Dole, you will cycle alongside your guide in a group on an easy route along the canals and through the Doubs valley. The day includes a guided tour of the “Saline Royale” of Arc-et-Senans, a cultural site and its gardens, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, as well as a meal on site. In the evening, you will have dinner and stay overnight in Arc-et-Senans or the surrounding area.
From Arc-et-Senans, ride to Salins-les-Bains for a guided tour of the impressive Great Saltworks, which are also classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The cycling route then continues towards Arbois, passing through various Jura landscapes. Farewell lunch is included. Then you will enjoy a wine tasting session at the Domaine de la Pinte, which offers a final opportunity to immerse yourself in this wine region. The tour concludes in Arbois with an opportunity to share a convivial moment with your group. Transportation to your next step in option.

The Burgundy wine region is one of the most famous in the world. The diversity of its terroirs and the quality of its wines make it an essential destination for lovers of discovery and wine-making traditions. The red grape varieties are mainly Pinot Noir and Gamay, while the white wines are made from Chardonnay and Aligoté. Big names such as Romanée-Conti, Chambertin and Montrachet contribute to the region’s international reputation.
Further south, the Jura vineyards around Arbois offer a different and complementary identity. Here you will find typical grape varieties such as Savagnin, Poulsard and Trousseau, as well as white and red wines with a strong character. This small-scale vineyard charms visitors with its authenticity, rolling landscapes and friendly atmosphere.

Easy to get to Dijon: TGV from Paris (1h30) or Lyon (1h45), or by regional train “Mobigo”. Approximately 1 train every hour. Dijon is also connected to several motorways, Paris, Reims, Mulhouse, Lyon, Marseille. Covered parking available, approximately €25/week.
At the end of your stay: from Arbois, a taxi can take you to Dole station, with numerous connections to Paris by TGV and to Dijon by TER. Other transfers are available on request at info@active-tours.fr.
This trip departure is guaranteed for a minimum of 6 participants. If the minimum number of participants is not reached one month before departure, your deposit will be refunded in full. Other alternatives will be offered.
