Your hotel is located in the heart of Beaune, leaving you time upon arrival to wander through medieval streets, stroll along the ramparts, and explore the Notre-Dame collegiate church, which has 15th-century tapestries. Take time to soak up the atmosphere and enjoy a drink on the terrace of one of the many cafés surrounding the main square.
Today’s journey will take you north of Beaune. You will ride through the Grand Cru vineyards of Corton and Corton-Charlemagne before entering the Côte de Nuits vineyards. Pass through the charming villages of Nuits-Saint-Georges, Vosne-Romanée, Vougeot (home to the Château of Clos de Vougeot), Chambolle-Musigny, and Gevrey-Chambertin along the way. You will then return to Beaune for an overnight stay at the end of the day.
Today’s ride is pleasant and quite flat. It will take you through the famous vineyards of Pommard and Volnay, which French kings often favored. Then, you will head towards the renowned vineyards of Meursault and Puligny-Montrachet, where some of the world’s finest white Chardonnay wines are produced. In the afternoon, you will return to Beaune to spend the night at the same hotel.
After enjoying a comforting breakfast, you’ll be ready to return to everyday life with beautiful memories to cherish.
