You will begin your route in Dijon, capital of the Dukes of Burgundy (and renowned for its mustard), continuing to Beaune, the wine capital of Burgundy and finally, discover the area to the south of Beaune. Burgundian cuisine is excellent – snails, Charolais beef, Bresse chicken and amazing cheeses. The region will hold no more secrets for you!

    Arrival in Dijon

    After check-in at the hotel, enjoy the rest of the day wandering round the city center of Dijon. Welcome meeting and bike delivery at the end of the day. Overnight at the hotel.

    Dijon - Beaune

    Distance : ~45km

    You will follow the Route of the Grands Crus to Nuits-Saint-Georges, passing through Gevrey-Chambertin, Morey-Saint-Denis and Nuits-Saint-Georges: villages whose names are are synonymous with the world-renowned appellations. We recommend a visit to the Hospices of Beaune, but you can also visit the underground cellars of great wine producers extending under the roads of the city,Overnight at the hotel.

    Beaune - Dracy-le-Fort

    Distance : ~45km

    You will  ride through the Côte de Beaune passing through famous winemaking villages such as Pommard, Meursault and Puligny-Montrachet. You will be able to stop at the emblematic Montrachet, considered quite rightly as the place where you can find the best white wines in the world. Then you will go on the Voie Verte, a cycle path along the Central Canal where you will be able to admire the vineyards of the Côte Chalonniase. Overnight at the hotel.

    Dracy-le-Fort - Cluny

    Distance : ~44km

    Departure for Cluny by the Voie Verte built on a former railway. From Givry to Cluny, appreciate the changing landscape dotted with forests and traditional villages with cabotes (small stone houses). You will also see lots of old village washhouses and fountains. Discover the medieval towns of Saint-Gengoux-le-National and Cormatin, famous for its chateau and gardens. The landscape gradually changes, becoming more and more hilly, before reaching Cluny.     Cluny - Mâcon

    Distance : ~28km

    You will follow a flat and easy part of the Voie Verte for 23 km through the Val Lamartinien. Cycle through a landscape dominated by the rocky formations of Solutré, Vergisson and Mont-Pouilly, which are listed as some of the most beautiful natural sites in France. This is the place where the famous poet Lamartine left many memories. Overnight at the hotel.
